In March 2011 Community Link gave a grant to Bellsfield Senior Group based in Guildford which enabled them to take several members on a trip to the beautiful New Forest.
Bellsfield Senior Group meets every other week on a Friday between 2.00pm-3.30pm. The group provides a lifeline for older residents who would otherwise feel very isolated.
Four members of Community Link attended the Senior Group session on Friday 10 June, to see the vital the work Bellsfield Senior Group does and the positive impact it has on the community. Tricia Addison, Chair of Community Link enthuses: “It was wonderful to see the positive change the project was making to people’s lives.
“Members came to thank us personally and talk to us about how important the group was to them. It was so nice to be able to see where the grant had gone to, we were made to feel very welcome and we are keen to visit other projects we have funded.”
Community Link is keen to support work in all the areas where Radian has properties and welcomes further applications for funding. Community Link also provides Green Finger Grants to help residents make the most of their gardens. Green Finger Grants are only for Sheltered Housing Schemes this year.
