Sawyers Close Residents’ Association (SCRA) is still as active as ever, organising lots of activities from summer fetes to meat raffles and generally aiming to involve the entire community at Sawyers Close.
SCRA opens up every Friday evening at the on-site community room – the Pump Room – for children to come in and hang out and play together away from their homes. There are always a few members of SCRA, if not more there, along with a Community Warden.
The atmosphere is always very lively and the children are engaged with lots of exciting activities, whether it’s a game of Jenga or simply sitting down and talking to one another. There are various different age ranges that turn up, including some parents who get a chance to have fun with their children.
SCRA is doing a fantastic job for the community at Sawyers Close as well as setting an excellent example for other Radian residents to establish their own local residents’ associations.
